They told me that since my op is in the afternoon to ignore the instructions on PATIENT PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS As Per ‘Colonprep Kit A’ Note Commences the day before your appointment ON THIS DAY DATE 10 Senna tablets and two packets of Citramag or Picolax are enclosed. This comes . afternoon appointment for advice about your diabetes medications. And I don t have any special instructions for eating the day before. Is that normal . I got Picolax squirted up my bunghole by a pretty nurse. -( .. If you have an afternoon appointment, they may have you do it that morning. You will also need to take laxatives (PICOPREP or PICOLAX). (Please see over for complete instructions). FOR AFTERNOON APPOINTMENTS. a. 6.00pm (Tel 045-849810) for further instructions. Before breakfast (not later than 8am), take the first sachet of Picolax (You will receive this by post) Afternoon Appointment You may have a light breakfast and must not eat, drink or smoke after that. 1pm No more food to be eaten after this time until after your colonoscopy 2pm Dissolve the first sachet of Picolax in a large glass of water. Stir well. Hi All I m not sure if I m in the right message board for this thread Maybe entertainment as it s certainly causing a few family and friend laughs It was nearly 48hrs without food but the Picolax wasn t as bad as I expected. Only problem was a mix up with the time of my appointment which left me of the procedure or prep, and follow the instructions to the finest detail.
